Welcome
On behalf of everyone at Leyland Methodist Infant School I would like to welcome you to our school website, which is designed to give you an insight into the life of the school and the many opportunities that it offers to pupils.
Our school is an Infant School delivering education to pupils ages 4 to 7. Our children move to Leyland Methodist Junior School when they are seven, which is just next door. Whilst we are still two separate schools, from September 2018, the Governors of both schools agreed to collaborate. This means that we now enjoy much closer working and shared expertise. I am extremely fortunate to not only the lead the Junior School, which I have done since 2011, but also our wonderful Infant School too.
The school has a lovely ‘family atmosphere’ and this is one of the many things that visitors remark upon. Our children's behaviour is exemplary. They are really kind and caring to each other. Christian values are at the heart of all we do and our new school vision to 'Love, Serve and Celebrate Together' is very evident in our Methodist School.
Whilst this website aims to give a flavour of school through its many different sections, prospective parents and guardians may wish to visit the school. We hold an Open Afternoon in the first half of the Autumn Term and visits can also be arranged via the School Office.
We are very proud of our children and our school. It is certainly a privilege to be its Executive Headteacher.
