Reading Rocks!
I am trialing a new reading reward system to replace the current reading tracks in Y1. The Reading Rocks! sheets are in the back of your child’s reading record and will be completed by adults in school. All I need you to do is complete the pages as usual with the date and a comment when your child reads to, or shares a book with an adult. This could be a school reading book or something you have at home. Please note that your child can only gain one reward signature per day.
The rewards are:
10 signatures = a sticker
20 signatures = 3 dojo points
30 signatures = 5 dojo points
40 signatures = Extra playtime
50 signatures = wear own clothes for the day (you will be informed a day in advance)
60 signatures = afternoon tea with My Teacher/Mrs Rogerson/VIP
Afternoon tea will happen in school and the children will have chance to relax and enjoy some snacks whilst chatting about reading!
